The Dakota Ridge outdoor recreation area offers world-class cross country skiing and snowshoeing right in our neighbourhood!
Dakota Ridge is a 1,532 acre plateau featuring 20 km's of world class cross country ski trails, 4 km of groomed snowshoe trails, and 3 k of wilderness snowshoe trails. The trails wind through old growth forests and open areas in a beautiful subalpine setting.
Topping out at 1,200 metres, amazing views of the Coast Mountains, Vancouver Island and Salish Sea capture the magic of the Sunshine Coast.
GETTING TO DAKOTA RIDGE
Just around the corner from Beachside, in Wilson Creek is Field Road - the access point to the 14km forest service Road the parking area. This road is restricted to 4 wheel drive vehicles with chains.
Also in Wilson Creek you'll find our friends, Alpha Adventures, the outdoor adventure store. Alpha Adventures offers shuttles, lessons, gear rental and sales.

Getting away from the city crowds has never been easier. Mountain access, shuttles, gear rental, restaurants and coffee shops are all in our neighbourhood. No long drives, high prices, parking costs or stress!
